III WISHES is an exploration of the contemporary South through the work of 3 breakthrough artists that are defining the revised cultural landscape of the region.
I. From Kyoto, Japan to Florida, Hiromi’s three dimensional paper-cuts combine ancient traditions with contemporary narratives presented in almost anamorphic sculpture.
II. Kedgar Volta was born and raised in Cuba and emigrated to America less than ten years ago. Now living and working in Florida, his next-level multimedia photographic work challenges his medium as well as the viewer.
III. The internationally acclaimed Marcus Kenney is a true southerner. Born in Louisiana and currently living in Savannah, his pieces are engaging, fun and sardonic mixed-media sculptures often crafted from found objects.
